The Aberdeen Highland Games is held at Jefferson Park on the banks of the Hunter River in beautiful Aberdeen, in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales.

Every June long weekend Merriwa comes alive with market stalls, street entertainment, rides, exhibits, competitions, demonstrations and the grand street parade with the famous Running of the Sheep in their red socks. This is a fun-packed family event not to be missed!
